History
The Cape Breton Filmmakers Association (CBFA) is a new group that was formed in spring 2008.

Mandate
The CBFA mandate is to support film, video, and new media creators on Cape Breton Island, and to foster the industry by providing opportunities for networking, training and resources.

Goals
To encourage, inspire, and realize more independent filmmaking in Cape Breton.
