John Johnson stars as Joseph Howe in the true story of a duel fought in Halifax in 1840. Howe was challenged by the son of the chief justice of Nova Scotia over an accusation of libel for writing an article in defense of the underprivileged.  Written by Michael Fox

The 13-minute film features four shorts, three of which are animated. Each of the films centers around short stories and poems written by her children, who were home schooled at the time of production. The children are featured in the film along with animated shorts.
The four stories are linked together by an interview with one of the children. He talks about his experiences with home schooling.
