Subject: The Orchard casting
Leonard (male 45-60) rough face, taller rather than short:
Even though he is drinking a lot he is still in pretty decent physical shape. You could tell that he has done his share of lifting in his life. He grew up with immigrant parents. As a young man he got a job at a butcher shop. The boss was connected and Leonard proved himself to be efficient and smart. Since he was a loner he took the jobs nobody else took. This way he became an expert in the field of cleaning dead bodies.
Frank (male 24 to 30) somewhat handsome, tall or medium size:
He is smart and eager, but hot-tempered. He has proved himself to be valuable to the organization he works for. Since his mother wanted him to have a life outside the mob she made sure he did good in school. But as he grew up he lost his patience and turned to his fathers profession. He has always looked up to his father who pulled off a lot of robberies which made him notorious. Since Frank never knew what happened to him Frank has created and worshipped his fathers myth.
Lester (40 to 55):
Lester obviously has mental issues. Always a loner Lester looked after the farm but after his father died suddenly he became more and more reclusive. Living in his trailer he keeps to himself. His sister Lucy, whom he shares the farm with, get along well. With Lucy’s illness he has become more introverted and drinks heavily. He now rarely comes to the house.
Lucy (female 45-55):
Lucy is a kind woman who rarely judge people. Having been somewhat of an outcast herself because of her refusal to conform to country-norms she easily fell for Leonards quiet awkwardness. She is also somewhat like the female character in Tender Mercies, only older.
